One big mover in our Week 2 SEC Power Rankings

LSU Tigers

14. Arkansas

Arkansas won its opening game against Eastern Illinois behind an impressive performance from backup quarterback Ty Storey who was 12-of-17 passing for 261 yards, and three touchdowns through the air with another on the ground.

The Razorbacks visit Colorado State this week.

13. Vanderbilt

Vandy opened up the 2018 season with a 35-7 win behind six sacks and two turnovers. Starting quarterback Kyle Shumur was 10-of-17 for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

The Dores host Nevada this week.

12. Tennessee

The Vols played West Virginia tough for a half, but the Mountaineers offense was too much in the second as West Virginia slowly built on a 13-7 halftime lead to beat UT 40-14.

The Vols will host former offensive coordinator Randy Sanders and East Tennessee State this week.

11. Kentucky

The Wildcats struggled for most of the day with Central Michigan before scoring two third quarter touchdowns to win 35-20. Benny Snell Jr. carries the load of the offense with 20 carries, 125 yards, and two touchdowns.

Kentucky will travel to Florida on Saturday.

10. Ole Miss

The Rebels offense is everything we thought it would be as running back Scottie Phillips had a monster day with 16 carries, 204 yards, and two rushing touchdowns. The defense still needs work, but Ole Miss will be able to score a ton of points.

Ole Miss plays Southern Illinois on Saturday.

9. Missouri

Drew Lock was 19-of-25 for 289 yards and four touchdowns in the Tigers 51-14 win over UT-Martin. The Tigers will need to focus on running the ball more efficiently as they averaged just 3.7 yards per carry against an FCS opponent.

Missouri will host Wyoming this week.

8. Texas A&M

Jimbo Fisher’s first game as the Aggies head coach was a success as A&M routed Northwestern State 59-7. Treyveon Williams rushed for 240 yards on just 20 carries and added three touchdowns to his day in a little over two quarters.

The Aggies have a huge test this week as they welcome in Clemson.

7. Florida

Florida led Charleston Southern 38-0 at halftime en route to a 53-6 win in Dan Mullen’s debut. Quarterback Felipe Franks was 16-of-24 with 219 yards passing and five touchdowns while the defense gave up just one solid drive all day to the Buccaneers.

Florida will host Kentucky this week.
