Pat Summitt Foundation selling T-shirts to raise funds

The Pat Summitt Foundation is selling T-shirts honoring the life and career of basketball coaching legend Pat Summitt, who died earlier this week at age 64.

The T-shirt will be on sale for a limited time and is the only authorized T-shirt; the foundation has noted that other shirts bearing Summitt’s likeness are not authorized and thus may not be providing any money in Summitt’s memory.

The foundation says almost 100 percent of the funds from its shirt will be going to benefit the fight against Alzheimer’s disease; specifically, the foundation said funds will benefit the Pat Summitt Alzheimer’s Clinic, which is scheduled to open this fall at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

The shirts are on sale at various outlets in Tennessee and at the foundation’s website: www.patsummitt.org
