8. Mark Ingram
While Ingram’s future with the Saints is questionable at the moment, that doesn’t take away from the career he has put together so far. Ingram just finished his 7th season in New Orleans which was statistically his best. Ingram rushed for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns to go along with 58 receptions for 416 yards en route to his second Pro Bowl selection.
Ingram’s first Pro Bowl selection came in 2014 after rushing for 964 yards and nine touchdowns.
2016 was also a very good year for Ingram as he eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for only the second time in his career. Ingram added six rushing touchdowns along with 319 yards receiving and four receiving touchdowns.
7. Dont’a Hightower
It’s hard to believe, but Hightower is the only Super Bowl winner on this list. Hightower also had the luxury of going from one dynasty in Alabama to another in the New England Patriots.
To date, Hightower has two Super Bowl rings to go along with one Pro Bowl appearance in his career. Hightower has tallied 263 tackles, 19 sacks, and two forced-fumbles in New England.
In 12 playoff games, Hightower has 40 tackles, one sack, and one interception.
The Patriots rewarded Hightower’s play before the beginning of last year with a four-year, $43.5 million deal.
