Since Phillip Fulmer’s return as athletic director, Tennessee has seen more than a few former Vols return to the program, and another one may be on his way.
Former Tennessee linebacker Kevin Simon is expected to join the football staff in some capacity under new head coach Jeremy Pruitt, as reported by Jayson Swain of “The Swain Event” radio show in Knoxville.

The exact role for Simon is not specified.
A former Vols player from 2002 to 2005, Simon played under Fulmer on SEC East championship teams and made 88 tackles during his senior year in 2005. He was later drafted by the Washington Redskins in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
