Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster’s draft stock has taken a hit of late, but ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay called him the “best pure football player” in next month’s draft in a tweet posted late Thursday.
More tape I watch ('15-16) more I think Ala. LB Foster is best pure football player in this draft. If he handles his biz, special NFL player

That’s a welcome boost for Foster, who was sent home from the NFL Scouting Combine for an incident during his medical checkup. Some recent mock drafts had him tumbling out of the top 20.
But Foster is considered the best inside linebacker in this draft, and teams will have to weigh his tape vs. his behavior.
Last season, Foster led the Crimson Tide with 115 tackles, while posting 13 tackles for loss, five sacks and eight quarterback hurries for the SEC champions.
