Alabama inside linebacker Reuben Foster recently had rotator cuff surgery that will cause him to miss the workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Foster still will attend the combine to meet with teams.

His recovery time from the operation, ESPN.com reports, is about four months. That means Foster also will miss Alabama’s Pro Day but will be ready for the start of training camp in July.

As long as his post-surgery medical reports are fine, Foster remains an almost-certain first-round pick in April.

Foster won the Butkus Award in 2016 as the nation’s top linebacker. He finished his senior season for the Crimson Tide with 115 tackles and five sacks.
