36 ridiculous omissions from the College Football Hall of Fame

GREGG CARR, courtesy of Auburn athletics

Let’s start with my alma mater, Auburn.

Linebacker Gregg Carr is a finalist. He was a three-time first-team All-SEC selection. If you’re a three-time first-team all-conference selection from a Power Five conference, you should proceed directly to the Hall – no waiting.

In 1984 he was a consensus All-American and was named the SEC’s Lineman of the Year.

At least Carr is on the ballot. That’s more can be said for perhaps Auburn’s other greatest linebacker, Aundray Bruce, who was a two-time All-SEC selection and everybody’s All-American in 1987.
