No respect: SEC commissioner Greg Sankey gets terrible seat at NCAA tournament

It’s hard to get good seats at NCAA tournament games – even if you’re SEC commissioner Greg Sankey, apparently.

On the first day of first-round games at the tournament Thursday, Sankey tweeted a photo of the view from his seat at the Amway Center in Orlando, and it wasn’t good. Despite his status, he was placed in the auxiliary section, which appeared to be in the upper reaches of the arena.

But fear not, SEC fans. Eventually, Sankey made his way down courtside prior to Florida’s game against East Tennessee State University, which he himself appeared to confirm.

Sankey was watching the Virginia and UNC-Wilmington in the first of four games to be played at the arena Thursday when he took the photo. He likely was there to watch SEC school Florida take on East Tennessee State in the second game of the day.

Maryland-Xavier and Florida State-Florida Gulf Coast were the next two games to follow.
