10 SEC players most on the spot at the NFL Scouting Combine

The ultimate job interview for college football players is here.

The NFL Scouting Combine is a grind for the 336 athletes lucky enough to be invited. They get probed by doctors going over every joint and muscle in their body. They must be prepared to stand out in a positive way in their 15-minute team interviews. Oh, and they have to dazzle in drills.

Players can put on a show and rise up draft boards, or they can stumble and create extra pressure at their pro day.

Money will be made and lost when the combine begins Tuesday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Here are 10 players from the SEC with something to prove.

The buzz: Bryan has been hyped as an athlete in the mold of Texans superstar J.J. Watt. Now is the time to prove it. Bryan had a good final year for the Gators (four sacks and six tackles for loss), but he hasn’t looked like a dominant defender at the college level. He has first-round buzz, but that’s based more on his athletic upside. Bryan needs an excellent round of testing to live up to the billing. If he’s good but not great at the combine, his days as a first-round projection could be over.
