A Father’s Day look at 8 SEC players with NFL dads

It’s Father’s Day, and here’s a look at eight important SEC football players whose dads were NFL players of some renown.

An added bonus: Four of the eight dads also were big-time SEC players in college. (This is not a complete list of SEC players whose dads played in the NFL.)

BAYLEN BUCHANAN, by Donald Page/Tennessee athletics

Tennessee CB Baylen Buchanan

The skinny: He is the son of former long-time NFL CB Ray Buchanan, who starred at Louisville before playing 12 seasons in the NFL with Indianapolis, Atlanta and Oakland. He was a two-time All-Pro who had 47 career interceptions. Baylen played extensively last season, starting once and seeing time in all 13 games. His in the hunt for a starting job this fall, at either cornerback or nickelback. Even if he doesn’t start, he will see a lot of playing time.
