In a light week (5 teams are off), the best game is division crossover affair

Here’s a look at all the games involving SEC teams in Week 8.

With a season-high five teams on a bye week, there are just four league games and one non-conference matchup this week. The best game is a division crossover matchup.

Idaho (2-4) at Missouri (1-5)

Time/TV: Noon, SEC Network
The line: Missouri by 14
The buzz: The Sun Belt Conference already has one win over the SEC this season (Troy over LSU), and Idaho is looking to make it two. The Vandals are led by QB Matt Linehan, whose dad, Scott, is the Dallas Cowboys’ offensive coordinator. Idaho has struggled to stop the run but has been solid against the pass. Presumably, that means Mizzou RB Damarea Crockett should have a good day. Mizzou’s defense has been a sieve against the run and the pass, so Linehan – a four-year starter – easily could have the 13th 300-yard day of his career. This is the fifth home game of the season for the Tigers. It also could be a shootout.
The pick: Missouri 41-30.
