We’ve already talked about the paucity of proven quarterbacks and running backs in the SEC this season. Now it’s time to talk about SEC wide receivers – and there are not many proven guys at this position, either.
There were four SEC wide receivers with at least 70 receptions and 1,000 yards last season, and three return. But there are just two other receivers who had more than 55 catches and only one other who had at least 850 receiving yards.
Thus, there are a lot of opportunities league-wide for receivers to emerge this fall. Along those lines, we’ve decided to take our best guess as to each SEC team’s leading wide receiver. Further, we’re predicting whether said leading receiver will reach 70 receptions and 1,000 yards.
