Tennessee fans are showing their excitement for the 2017 with their wallets.
Tennessee has sold about 68,700 season tickets, the second most since 2007. Last year was the most in 10 years: 72,000.

The 2007 season that Hyams referenced is the last time that the Volunteers won the SEC East. This season’s total is short of the 2016 total of 72,000.
In voting at SEC Media Days, the Vols were picked to finish third in the division. The Vols were projected to win the division last season before finishing tied for second with a 4-4 league record; on Monday, Vols coach Butch Jones called last season a “disappointment.”
