For some reason, Jauan Jennings just wanted to bring it up again.
The Tennessee wide receiver posted a photo Saturday on Instagram of the 67-yard touchdown he scored against Florida last season, with a caption directed at now former Gators cornerback Teez Tabor.
“Damn I wish tabor sorry ass wasn’t goin to da league,” Jennings wrote on his private Instagram account.
Tabor was covering Jennings on the play, but slipped to leave the receiver wide open.
Jennings’ touchdown was perhaps the biggest of the game, as it gave the Volunteers a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter after falling behind 21-0 in the latter portion of the first half. Tennessee went on to win the game, 38-28, which was played Sept. 24 at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville.
For the game, Jennings had three catches for 111 yards and one touchdown. His receiving yards total was a season high.
While it’s not explicitly clear why Jennings brought up the play again, it likely has something to do with Tabor’s history as a trash talker on the field.
Tabor declared early for the NFL draft after the season; he’s been projected to go in the first round, though it’s not unlikely that he gets picked later than that.
