New Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher hired a defensive coordinator late last week, and the Aggies now are in the process of filling out their defensive staff.
A&M reportedly will hire Green Bay Packers assistant defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery to fill one of those slots.

The one holdover from Kevin Sumlin’s staff was defensive line coach Terry Price, so how the new coordinator Mike Elko will divvy up the responsibilities along the line will be interesting. Presumably, Montgomery will coach the interior linemen and Price the ends.
Montgomery, 38, is an Iowa alum who has been an assistant at Wyoming, Indiana, Michigan and Oklahoma.
Price, 46, just finished his sixth season at A&M. He also has been an assistant at Auburn and Ole Miss.
