Ouch. It’s recovery time for teams that got painful reality checks last week, and now they’ve got to stop the slide from getting out of hand.
Texas A&M played Alabama close much of the way Saturday and even forced – shocking! – a turnover, but eventually went down for the fifth consecutive time against the Tide. For Florida, meanwhile, luck finally ran out, and the offense really doesn’t look like it’s getting better. The loser in this game might have a long second half of the season ahead.
The Aggies and Gators have met a grand total of three times, including just once since A&M joined the SEC. That meeting came in 2012 and ended in Jeff Driskel outdueling Johnny Manziel 20-17 in the Aggies’ first-ever game in the conference and Manziel’s first-ever college action.
