Here’s a look at the three best Ole Miss recruiting classes in the past 20 years. The classes include some of the best players in school history.
Then-coach Hugh Freeze took the success from the 2013 and ’14 seasons, when the Rebels went a combined 17-9 and played in the Music City and Peach bowls, and landed a class chock full of talent, with most on offense. QB Chad Kelly led a list of four-star talents such as WR DeMarkus Lodge, G Javon Patterson and DT D.J. Jones. Ole Miss also landed three-star recruits such as OT Alex Givens, DB Cameron Ordway, CB Jalen Julius and S Zedrick Woods. Kelly, a JC transfer, had immediate success in throwing for a school single-season-record 4,042 yards that fall; that helped the Rebels win their first Sugar Bowl since 1970.
