2. LSU (2-0) at Mississippi State (2-0)
When: Saturday, 7 p.m.
The skinny: Is Mississippi State for real? The Bulldogs must get a big game from QB Nick Fitzgerald – especially on the ground – to have a shot at the upset. If Mississippi State can’t run, it is in trouble. MSU’s receivers aren’t going to scare LSU’s defensive backs. The Bulldogs’ defense looks markedly better through two games with new coordinator Todd Grantham. But the power running of Derrius Guice is going to be a different kind of test. Truth be told, outside of D.J. Chark, LSU’s receivers don’t scare anyone, either. Each of the past three meetings has come down to the final two minutes, with all three being decided by five or fewer points.
