The second season of the popular Netflix documentary series “Last Chance U” begins July 21, and the trailer for the season has been released.
The show follows select players and coaches at East Mississippi Community College, the school that has produced, among others, former Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly and former Alabama defensive lineman Jarran Reed.
Netflix says the documentary follows “new players on a quest for redemption on the field, in the classroom and in life.”
The first season followed coach Buddy Stephens, EMCC academic advisor Brittany Wagner and select players. One of the featured players this season will be sophomore running back Isaiah Wright, who is from Florence, Mississippi, near Jackson.
“He plays a major role in the upcoming season,” director Greg Whiteley told USA Today.
