Here are our updated SEC Power Rankings a third of the way through the 2017 season.

Alabama looks to be clearly and distinctly the best team in the West; Georgia looks to be clearly and distinctly the best team in the East.

14. Missouri (1-3)

Last week: 14th
The skinny: Barry Odom seems to be feeling the pressure that comes with coaching a bad team. Maybe the Tigers can get some stuff fixed during their bye week – but they have a lot to fix.

13. Ole Miss (2-1)

Last week: 13th
The skinny: The next two games are Alabama and Auburn – and both are on the road. That’s not ideal for a team that can’t stop the run.

12. Vanderbilt (3-1)

Last week: 9th
The skinny: Man, that win over Kansas State seems a long time ago. Perhaps the most unreal stat from Saturday’s loss to Alabama is that Vandy ran 38 plays – and the Tide had 38 first downs.

11. South Carolina (3-1)

Last week: 11th
The skinny: Needing a last-play field goal to win at home against a Louisiana Tech that lost by 36 earlier this season to Mississippi State? Still-scarred Florida fans say, “Yep, that sounds like a Will Muschamp-coached team.”

10. Tennessee (3-1)

Last week: 7th
The skinny: As with Barry Odom, Butch Jones seems to be feeling the pressure. With Georgia coming in this week, he’d better hope his players don’t follow his lead.

9. Kentucky (3-1)

Last week: 8th
The skinny: Leaving a receiver uncovered one time in a game is bad enough. But to do it twice — including in the final minute? Hey, there’s a reason you lose 31 in a row to one team.

8. Arkansas (1-2)

Last week: 12th
The skinny: The heat is rising on Bret Bielema. His Hogs are good enough to pill an occasional upset, but they’re a long way – a long, long way – from being able to contend in the SEC West.

RELATED: We’re a third of the way through the season and, once again, the SEC isn’t that strong
